Computer Reprogramming

Alan’s Auto Care is now offering reprogramming of onboard vehicle computers for a vast array of makes and models. As an independently owned service center we proudly offer this exclusive service to central Kentucky.

Today’s vehicles include a large number of onboard computers that are programmed by the manufacturer to cure conditions such as hot or cold starting issues, idle roughness, stalling, emission failures, transmission shifting problems, ABS/VSC control speed, and even entertainment and navigational updates, just to name a few.

Just like the software on your home computer, these vehicle programs often need updates and/or enhancements. Manufacturer’s release “Field Fixes” that allow vehicle computers to be updated to ensure proper operating systems and eliminate the need to replace vehicle computers. Updating vehicle computers is commonly called reprogramming or flashing.
